With a heavy heart and firm conviction, sharing that I made the decision to leave Coinbase.  I fell in love with Coinbase during the interview process and Coinbase has yet to disappoint.  Corporations are people, Execs are people, Managers are people, Teams are people.  It’s the people at Coinbase that won my heart.  At all levels, across all areas, in the hardest or best days at Coinbase, individuals are emboldened by Coinbase’s mission and focused on doing the right thing.  Coinbase is a new Company, it only went public last year, yet its execution prowess is unlike any other Company I’ve seen, large or small.  I believe a big component of this secret power is the result of how much everyone at Coinbase cares and has a purpose that aligns with the Company’s mission.  Every team (whether brand new, newer, or more mature within the organization) works hard to improve every day.  For a person who is obsessed with growth (personal and professional), this has been fantastic to be a part of and to witness. Anyone who has ever worked with me knows I work hard–I go deep and I go all-in.  My imposter syndrome may be a big driver of that, yet I’ve never chosen to succumb to it rather use it as fuel to keep improving.  Since I joined Coinbase in 2021 it’s been a whole new level of working hard that I didn’t know was possible.  I have learned more since I’ve been here than I have my entire career within Treasury.  Please note that I have had the greatest mentors and managers even before Coinbase… so it only goes to show the special Coinbase magic that pushes those who join to even higher standards. In the spirit of doing the right thing, a few Finance Exec leaders and I restructured the Treasury team to maximize on strengths and prioritize on what is most needed today.  While I would have LOVED to continue the Coinbase journey, I know these changes are the right decision for the Company, and especially for those most impacted. I have no immediate plans other than ensuring a smooth transition so everyone involved is set-up for success.  Post that, I will probably spend a good amount of time giving extra hugs to my little girls who have been troopers while mommy worked through a new and expanded role, in a new and unique industry, and in a space that didn’t disappoint with curve balls to problem solve–nothing short of a dream job indeed!  After that, I will focus on making my next dream job a reality. I will forever be grateful to Brian Armstrong for building such a great Company, Alesia Haas and the Exec team for their stellar leadership, the Treasury team and Coinbase friends & partners who made me better, and all those who supported me since I took on this new challenge. Thank you for all the learnings, encouragement, and good vibes! Flavia
