1.  Introduction

With reference to Eurex circular 053/21, the present circular specifies the connection fees that will generally be treated as VAT-exempt as of 1 July 2021. The changes are made subject to further coordination with the tax authorities.

2.  Required action

No action on the part of the Participants is required vis-à-vis Eurex Frankfurt AG. However, Participants should assess the dependencies and impact of this change.

3.  Details

With effect from 1 July 2021, all connection fees, regulated in Section 1. ”Fees for services under the Connection Agreement” of the Price List to the Agreement on the technical connection and the utilization of the Trading System of Eurex Deutschland will be invoiced without VAT for Trading Members.

For Multi-Member Service Providers, the connection fees in Section 2. “Fees for services under the Provider Connection Agreement” will continue to be invoiced with VAT.

For Third-Party Information Providers, the connection fees in Section 3. “Fees for Standard and Qualified Third-Party Information Provider” and in Section 4. “Fees for portfolio compressors” will continue to be invoiced with VAT.
