April is HKEX’s #Green Month, and we’re spotlighting some unique social enterprises committed to supporting the environment in our local community and beyond. Our colleagues recently visited the HK Timberbank factory in Yuen Long to learn how this social enterprise recycles trees felled from typhoons or ageing, helping transform them into building materials, designer furniture and art installations. It was a great eye opener for our colleagues being inspired by the creativity and ingenuity of the team at HK TimberBank. We are pleased to announce the introduction of HKEX’s new Self-Match Prevention #SMP service in the Hong Kong securities market, which will be open for applications from 2 April.   This optional and free service helps Exchange Participants and their clients prevent inadvertent self-matches, providing more flexibility for latency-sensitive investors to deploy different trading strategies.   Enhancements to the SMP in our #derivatives market will be available in June 2024, subject to regulatory approval and market readiness.
