NEW YORK, NY and CHICAGO, IL – Jan. 17, 2023 –  Broadway Technology, a leading provider of high-performance front-office solutions, today announced that Global Head of Sales and Account Management Dan Romanelli has been elected president of the Security Traders Association of Chicago. In his role, Romanelli will be instrumental in setting the organization’s strategic direction, enhancing knowledge transfer between past and current board members, and driving new membership growth. He will also be integrally involved in administering the STAC Fund which awards college scholarships to deserving local students and makes grants to various charitable and educational institutions.

The Security Traders Association (STA) is the leading trade organization for individual professionals in the securities industry that works to improve the ethics, business standards and working environment for its members. The Chicago affiliate (STAC), established in 1925, is comprised of 600+ professional trade industry members who are engaged in the buying, selling and trading of securities. STA provides its members a voice on matters affecting the markets and trading community, with Congress, with the SEC, with regulators, with the exchanges and with other trade organizations.

STAC hosts conferences that promote professional development, serve as a platform for influential leaders in the industry, as well as provide a forum for networking. STAC members receive registration fee discounts for conferences, events and continuing education courses. In 1991 STAC also founded the STAC Fund, a 501c3 organization that awards college scholarships to deserving students and makes grants to various charitable and educational institutions. Over the past 10 years, the STAC Fund has made approximately $500,000 in charitable donations and scholarship awards – all thanks to the generosity of STAC members, sponsors and friends.

Said Romanelli, “As a 20-year member of The Security Traders Association of Chicago, I couldn’t be prouder to work with this amazing organization as we set a clear strategy for growth in 2023 and identify exciting new development opportunities for our burgeoning membership. I’ve been able to witness firsthand the professional power and generosity of this group, particularly through the STAC Fund, and I’m excited to spearhead our efforts as we introduce new initiatives to support our current members and help prepare the future generation of security traders in Chicago.”
