Meta and Apple Fall Off Glassdoor’s List of Best Places to Work
Even as layoffs ripple through the industry, tech companies dominate the list.

Glassdoor’s list of 100 best places to work in 2023 is dominated by tech companies, but this year two regular winners didn’t make the cut: Apple and Meta.
Over 40% of the companies on this year’s list are in the tech industry — despite waves of layoffs. Glassdoor, a platform for anonymous employer reviews, releases the annual list recognizing standouts among US firms with more than 1,000 people based on feedback submitted by employees over the past year. Last year, Meta and Apple both came in around the middle of the top 100. The best company to work for is a new addition to the ranking: software company Gainsight.
