1.  Introduction

Following highly valued feedback from Trading Participants to extend the simulation period, the launch date of the new RRS production environment has subsequently been postponed by two weeks to 29 March 2022. The respective client documentation has been updated and provided on the dedicated Eurex webpage.

New production start date: 29 March 2022

2.  Required action

Non-MiFIR Trading Participants are requested to continue using the existing RRH service until 28 March 2022 for reporting transactions from 25 March 2022. Please retrieve the updated documentation from the dedicated webpage on the Eurex website www.eurex.com under Rules & Regs > MiFID II/MiFIR > Reporting.

3.  Details 

A. Availability of the simulation environment

The simulation environment will be available from 31 January to 28 March 2022. The go-live in the production environment will take place on 29 March 2022.

B. Updated documentation

The following documentation updates were made available effective 24 January 2022:

  • New columns TRADE_ID and EUREX_PRODUCT_ID were added.
    Both columns will be filled in XEUR extract files. They do not have to be filled in XEUR upload files.
  • Validation rules were updated (see red text in EXTRACT-UPLOAD FIELD LIST).
  • File extension .ZIP was added for extract and feedback file names.
  • Supported characters for names were adapted to one byte extended ASCII (Windows-1252 character set).

Please be informed that uploading of files via the Common Upload Engine (CUE) in the range of TVUPL500 to TVUPL550, related to the correction of historic data, will only be supported shortly after production launch.

The market status window is an indication regarding the current technical availability of the trading system. It indicates whether news board messages regarding current technical issues of the trading system have been published or will be published shortly.

Detailed information about incident communication, market re-opening procedures and best practices for order and trade reconciliation can be found in the chapters 4.2, 4.3 and 4.5, respectively. Concrete information for the respective incident will be published during the incident via newsboard message. 

We strongly recommend not to take any decisions based on the indications in the market status window but to always check the production news board for comprehensive information on an incident.
