Success Academy, the largest charter-school network in New York City, has abandoned its plan to bring students back into the classroom and opted to go fully remote through at least December, the network told families and staff Thursday.

Uncertain building readiness and evolving regulations influenced the decision, which affects roughly 20,000 students. A decision about 2021 will come closer to December, spokeswoman Ann Powell said.
