Demetrius Ivory joined the WGN Weather Center as a meteorologist in 2013. On February 29, 2024, Demetrius became WGN-TV’s chief meteorologist, providing weather forecasts for the WGN Early Evening News at 4 p.m., WGN Evening News at 6 p.m., WGN News at Nine and WGN News at Ten.
Before joining WGN-TV, Demetrius was a meteorologist and weather reporter for Channel 4 Action News This Morning at WTAE in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prior to WTAE, Ivory was a meteorologist for WYTV in Youngstown, Ohio, and the chief meteorologist for Lima, Ohio’s WOHL.
Ivory graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in atmospheric sciences and a minor in computer science.
Demetrius Ivory was involved in many charitable organizations around western Pennsylvania and has been named Best Weatherperson by Pittsburgh Magazine consecutively since 2008.
