Barclays Says It Closed Argentine Wealth Management Unit Jan. 6

Barclays Plc closed its wealth management office in Buenos Aires on Jan. 6 and will serve Latin American customers from New York and Miami, the company said in an e-mailed statement.
The local unit, Barclays Sudamerica SA, was the only wealth management office in Latin America, Monique Wise, head of corporate communications for the Americas, said by telephone from New York today. The company “remains committed to Latin America,” she said.
