Lazard Hires Slaughter, a Former JPMorgan Deal Maker

The investment bank Lazard said on Thursday that it had hired Larry Slaughter, who was most recently a co-head of North American investment banking for JPMorgan Chase. He is the latest senior deal maker to join Lazard.

Mr. Slaughter retired from JPMorgan this year after 26 years at the firm, two years after moving back to the United States from London, where he served as head of European investment banking for corporates.

An industrials deal maker by background, Mr. Slaughter had previously worked as co-head of European mergers and acquisitions and head of financial sponsors for the Continent.

“We have known and respected Larry for many years,” Antonio Weiss, Lazard’s global head of investment banking, said in a statement. “His industry knowledge, sound judgment and deal-making skills will be of great value to our clients.”
