Citigroup's Downtown Building Is So Flooded It Could Be Closed For Weeks

citiAll of the 1800 people working in Citigroup's 111 Wall Street building are going to be displaced for a while, reports Businessweek.

The building sustained such serious flood damage during Hurricane Sandy that it could take weeks to repair. We're trying to hunt down pictures right now, and we'll put them up if we find them.

From Businessweek:

“The building experienced severe flooding and will be out of commission for several weeks,” Chief Executive Officer Michael Corbat wrote yesterday in a memo to employees. “We will continue to use backup sites and work-from-home strategies as necessary.”

Citigroup's Tribeca buildings also sustained minor flood damage and are running on generators.
