Acciona Awarded Clean Energy Contract From Madrid Water Manager

Acciona SA, a renewable energy and water provider, said a subsidiary won a 56 million-euro ($73 million) contract to supply electricity starting next month to Canal Isabel II Gestion, the Madrid region’s water manager.

Acciona’s green energy developments unit was awarded the contract to supply energy to facilities of the publicly owned utility, which operates 14 reservoirs, 13 drinking water treatment plants and 125 wastewater treatment plants as well as sewage pipe and water networks across the Madrid area.
