For the Edmonton workshop, Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange have partnered with Edmonton Economic Development Corporation, TEC Edmonton, and the CFA Society Edmonton, as well as Borden Ladner Gervais LLP; Bennett Jones LLP; PWC, Sequeira Partners Inc., PPHB Canada Inc. and Mackie Research Capital Corporation.
In 2011, Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange welcomed 480 new Canadian issuers, and equity capital raised was $51.1 billion on the exchanges. As of September 30, 2012, the exchanges are third in the world for equity capital raised according to the World Federation of Exchanges.
