The Swiss Futures and Options Association (SFOA) and the Futures Industry Association (FIA) today announced that the 2013 Bürgenstock Global Derivatives Conference will be held at the InterContinental Hotel and Resort in Geneva, Switzerland from Wednesday, September 25 to Friday, September 27.
“In the derivatives industry, the Bürgenstock name represents high quality conferences set in exciting locations. Today’s announcement follows in that strong tradition,” said Otto Nägeli, Chairman of SFOA. “Geneva is a natural choice for launching this new partnership in hosting the Bürgenstock conference, given its central location, its history as a financial center, and its well-established trading community,” said Walt Lukken, president and CEO of FIA.”
The Bürgenstock conference, now in its fourth decade, has a long history of attracting distinguished speakers and prominent names from the economic, academic and political worlds for high-level debate and discussion. The conference has proven to be an ideal forum for encouraging closer cooperation among market participants and international regulators.
