The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) publishes today its report on the annual review of the performance of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd (SEHK) in its regulation of listing matters during 2011(Note 1).
The SFC is of the view that the operational procedures and decision-making processes reviewed were appropriate to enable SEHK to discharge its statutory obligations to maintain an orderly, informed and fair market during the review period.
In the review released today, the SFC has also identified certain areas for SEHK to continue to enhance its performance.

- In March 2004, the Government published its Consultation Conclusions on Proposals to Enhance the Regulation of Listing. Among other matters, the Government recommended that the SFC should prepare annual reports on its reviews regarding SEHK’s performance of its listing functions.
