AsianInvestor has announced the winners of the 2012 Service Provider Awards, selecting FTSE as the Best Tradable Index Provider. The award recognizes FTSE’s achievements over the last 12 months providing investors in Asia with the most suitable tradable index solutions.
FTSE has an established record working with clients across the Asia Pacific region and has garnered significant attention in the ongoing development of ETF offerings. Most recently, FTSE licensed the FTSE China A50 Index to CSOP Asset Management Limited as the basis of its first Renminbi Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (RQFII) ETF which listed on Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited. FTSE has a leadership position in China indices with over 60% of assets under management in China-themed ETFs listed globally benchmarked to the FTSE China Index Series.
FTSE’s work with regional exchanges to calculate flagship local market indices is also well recognized by product issuers with new ETFs by Enhanced Investment Products Limited and Fubon Asset Management listed based on the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI and FTSE TWSE Taiwan 50 Index respectively. Custom value indices were also developed for Sensible Asset Management as the basis of ETFs covering Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.
