According to the latest quarterly PwC IPO Watch Europe report, the Warsaw Stock Exchange was once again #1 in Europe by the number of IPOs. There were 33 public offerings on the WSE in Q2 2012 (including 5 IPOs on the Main Market and 28 IPOs on NewConnect), representing over 41 percent of all IPOs on European markets.
By the value of IPOs in Q2 2012, the Warsaw Stock Exchange (EUR 50 million) ranked #3 in Europe after the London Stock Exchange (EUR 487 million) and the Oslo Stock Exchange (EUR 61 million).
On 31 July, the Warsaw Stock Exchange published the new composition of the responsible companies index: the RESPECT Index. It cover 20 companies. The index after the portfolio revision is published as of 1 August.
The RESPECT Index portfolio covers Polish companies listed on the WSE Main Market which follow the highest corporate governance, reporting and investor relations standards, and which also include environmental, social and governance factors.

The company Elemental Holding was newly listed on the WSE’s alternative stock market on 12 July as the 400th company listed on NewConnect.
Less than five years after NewConnect opened, the alternative stock market now lists 400 companies, including 393 Polish companies and 7 foreign companies.
The biggest number of companies listed on NewConnect operate in the sector of trade (64 companies), other services (51 companies) and media (35 companies). There are also many companies from the sectors of IT, financial services, technologies, and construction.
