Diana Chan, CEO of European clearing house EuroCCP, gave an initiated and highly appreciated presentation kicking off the new inspirational Cinnober Keynote Speakers series earlier this week.
The Keynote Speakers are intended as informal inspiration primarily for Cinnober’s own staff, where notable people from the financial world share current affairs and experiences.
Diana Chan spoke mainly about the evolving European clearing landscape, the challenges and opportunities facing the CCPs and how EuroCCP is positioned as a key proponent of the interoperability initiative.
“I see service quality and governance as the most important competitive parameters to differentiate CCPs,” says Diana Chan. “We at EuroCCP are facing exciting challenges and are naturally looking to continue our expansion in Europe, with the support of our participants. We will keep concentrating our efforts on delivering robust and low-cost clearing services of quality within our area of expertise, which is European cash equities clearing, as this is what our participants are expecting from us.”
“Diana Chan is a well-known name in the financial community with extensive experience in international arenas,” said Javier Tordable, CEO of Cinnober. “She also represents one of the major actors within the clearing community and possesses valuable knowledge in the areas where we operate. We are obviously delighted that she has given priority to visiting us and sharing her thoughts on important issues in the clearing world, where Cinnober is one of the main worldwide clearing infrastructure providers with its TRADExpress Real Time Clearing solution. Inspiring meetings at this top level add a lot of positive energy for both the company as a whole and each individual employee.”
