TSE’s broad index lost 0.12% in the week ended 8 January.
TEDPIX, TSE’s broad index diminished 108 points and stood at 88069 level at the end of the previous working week. The index’s return exceeded more than 131% from the beginning of the current Iranian year (starting 21 March 2013).
TSE’s First Market and Second Market indices respectively gained 233 and lost 1923 units, to grow 0.35% and shrink 1.16% comparing one week earlier.
During the five working days of the week ended 8 January 2014, the Exchange’s total trading equities and rights turnover improved 28.5% and amounted to approximately IRR 22.5 trillion*. In the period, nearly 5.2 billion shares were traded in 661714 transactions, which respectively decreased 30% and 32% than its preceding week.
Total number of 90024 participation bonds at the value of IRR 90 billion was traded at TSE in the week which is roughly 43% less than the prior week.
