Finansinspektionen is growing and recently restructured its organisation to be able to better meet future supervisory and regulatory needs. FI is now implementing additional changes and eliminating the position of Chief Economist. Most of the tasks previously carried out by the Chief Economist will now be divided between Aino Bunge and Uldis Cerps.
Aino Bunge has been named the new Executive Director of the Economic Analysis Office. She will be responsible for general economic analysis, international coordination and FI's policy issues. She will also join FI's management team. Aino Bunge was previously Head of the Policy Division at FI. Before this she worked at the Financial Market Department at the Swedish Ministry of Finance.
Uldis Cerps, Executive Director of the Banks operational section and member of FI's management team, will represent FI on the Basel Committee.
Chief Economist Lars Frisell will leave his position on 11 May.
