NZX advises the resignation of Pat O’Shannassy as General Manager of its Australian Agri-business, effective Thursday 5 April 2012.
Pat returned to Australia from the US to take up his NZX role in 2010. He has worked alongside teams in the Clear Grain Exchange and the Grain Information Unit toward a growing, integrated information and market offering for the Australian grain sector.
During Pat’s tenure, trading on the Clear Grain Exchange has grown to around half a million tonnes in the recent harvest.
Pat will return to his roots as a grain trader and, as such, will retain his contact with Clear and the GIU.
Experienced grain industry professional and GIU Head Ron Storey will assume the Head of Australian Agri-business role.
NZX wishes Pat every success, and looks forward to working with him in the future.
