NFA bars Redding, Calif. commodity trading advisor Samico Worldwide Markets, Inc. and its principal Thomas Gasparini from membership

March 7, Chicago—National Futures Association (NFA) has permanently barred Redding, Calif. commodity trading advisor Samico Worldwide Markets, Inc. (Samico) and its principal and sole associated person, Thomas Gasparini, from membership and from acting as a principal of an NFA Member.

The Decision, issued by an NFA Hearing Panel, is based on a Complaint authorized by NFA's Business Conduct Committee on February 24, 2016. The Hearing Panel found that Samico and Gasparini willfully failed to cooperate with NFA by repeatedly refusing or failing to provide NFA with requested records. NFA Members' obligation to cooperate is the foundation upon which NFA is able to obtain the information it needs to carry out its regulatory responsibilities.

The complete text of the Complaint and Decision can be viewed on NFA's website.
