One of the London Stock Exchange’s biggest shareholders will vote against an activist hedge fund’s campaign to remove the company’s chairman at a meeting in a week’s time.

The Qatar Investment Authority’s decision will come as a blow to Sir Christopher Hohn, the founder of TCI Fund Management, who has been seeking to oust LSE chairman Donald Brydon.
