The UK parliament's influential Treasury Select Committee met today for the first time since Nicky Morgan's appointment as the City's new interrogator-in-chief.

Morgan, a pro-Europe former City minister, became the committee's first female leader in July. She replaced Andrew Tyrie, who had built a reputation as a fierce inquisitor of the City's top financiers but stood down following the general election in June after seven years in the seat.
