Colt Technology Services, a provider of network and communications services for trading groups, has announced its latest senior hire, adding TS Narayanan as its newest Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) with immediate effect, according to a company statement.

In his new role at Colt, Mr. Narayanan will be based out of London – he will be reporting directly to Colt’s Chief Technology Officer, Rajiv Datta. In this capacity, he will be tasked with developing the company’s overall technical vision, whilst supporting a number of systems, applications and infrastructure capability to foster support for Colt’s growth and strategic objectives.

Veteran Hire

Mr. Narayanan joins Colt from Tech Mahindra Ltd, having worked in several senior roles with the company over nine years, dating back to 2008. This included stints as its Senior Vice President & Head of Delivery and Solutions for Europe, among others, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.

“TS has extensive knowledge in how telecommunications businesses operate and has a strong heritage in adopting compelling customer facing engagement models which will complement Colt’s customer focused strategy," explained Mr. Datta in a recent statement on the appointment.

According to Mr. Narayanan: “Colt has embraced an innovative approach to technological development and is arming itself to enable the digital transformation of business. I look forward to helping the organisation thrive in a future built upon gigabit speeds and high quality Connectivity .”

The announcement was the latest move since appointing Stephanie Lynch-Habib as its newest Chief Marketing Officer last month. Her mandate will be to help define and execute Colt’s overall marketing strategy, whilst pursuing an overall customer-centric, go-to-market plan.
