Erel Margalit, a member for the Labor party of Israel’s Knesset and former venture capitalist, said the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange must become more open to attract new listings and halt a decline in trading volumes.

Margalit, who’s profited from some of the country’s most successful startups as founder of Jerusalem Venture Partners, said he’s taken 12 Israeli companies public in the U.S. CyberArk Software Ltd., a cyber security firm which raised $99 million in an initial public offering on the Nasdaq Stock Market last month, is the most recent technology company backed by JVP to list in the U.S.
