A former top spokesman for the New York Stock Exchange, Robert Rendine, is moving to the public relations firm that handled the Big Board’s sale to the IntercontinentalExchange.
Mr. Rendine will be joining the firm, Sard Verbinnen & Company, as a managing director on Sept. 15, according to an internal memorandum reviewed by DealBook.
Before joining the Big Board’s parent, NYSE Euronext, in 2010, Mr. Rendine spent seven years at General Electric, most recently in London as a spokesman for GE Capital Global Banking. He also worked at the American Stock Exchange.
At NYSE Euronext, he oversaw both the company’s failed attempt to merge with Deutsche Bourse and later its successful sale to ICE. He left late last year after the deal with ICE closed.
