BlackRock soft-closes European Opportunities fund

The fund reached €681m (£540m) at the end of June, prompting the group to take steps to stem flows into the vehicle. A statement issued to investors read: "The fund has received strong levels of subscriptions this year, and during this time we have taken preliminary steps (including reducing marketing activities) to control the size to ensure it does not exceed its capacity.
