The Mexican Stock Exchange Group reports that during the session of the Board of Directors held today, Luis Téllez Kuenzler announced his decision to step down as Chairman and CEO, effective January 1st 2015, to pursue new projects.
Mr. Téllez expressed before the Board of Directors that, since his term began in May 2009, he has been proud of promoting the stock market, generating value for the company and looking after the interests of the BMV Group, which makes him very satisfied. He also thanked the ongoing support and trust from the shareholders, the Board of Directors and other corporate entities, as well as from the financial authorities and the personnel from the Group. He emphasized his desire for the Group to continue with the modernization and expansion process of the brokerage activities, where the BMV and its business divisions can go on consolidating their sphere of influence within the Mexican financial system.
On the other hand, the Board of Directors unanimously acknowledged the achievements under Mr. Téllez and his leadership, heading the institutional efforts with great vision and talent within a global stage of regulatory, technological and operational changes which impacted the BMV Group business. In consideration of the good results obtained and the challenges faced, the Members of the Board thanked his dedication and commitment, ratifying the support and trust they have always given him, and wished him continued success in his new professional activities.
