Arantza Telleria, until now CFO of the Bilbao Stock Exchange, has been appointed Head of Internal Audit at BME, replacing Vicente Olmos, who leaves this position to become Chairman of the Valencia stock exchange.
Through the verification of internal controls, the Internal Audit department provides the Senior Management with information and recommendations on the functioning of the company’s different procedures and regulations, from the perspective of a service to the governing bodies of the company.
Arantza Tellería holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the País Vasco University, in the branch of Finance. She worked as an investments analyst in the Banco de Crédito Industrial and as Senior Auditor at KPMG before joining the Bilbao Stock Exchange in 1990, where she currently holds the position of CFO. She is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences on the stock market in the Basque Association of Economists and other institutions and a lecturer at the Equity module of the Seminar “Financial Market Fundamentals”.
