Canada’s strong economic fundamentals, such as being the fifth largest equity market in the MSCI World Index, and the Exchange being a global leader in the mining and resource sectors, provide a unique opportunity to investors.
Five TSX-listed companies from a range of sectors will be showcased at the event:
- Agrium Inc. (TSX:AGU)
- Bombardier (TSX:BBD.B)
- CGI Group Inc. (TSX:GIB.A)
- Keyera Corp. (TSX:KEY)
- Whitecap Resources Inc. (TSX:WCP)
Keynote speaker Avery Shenfeld, Managing Director and Chief Economist of CIBC Markets will also provide his global and North American economic outlook and the implications for Canadian equities.
“TMX Group is very committed to the UK market and events like this are an important part of our strategy,” said Tom Kloet, CEO, TMX Group. “Our London office helps us ensure that the strengths of our market are well understood and that we are well positioned to meet our clients’ needs.”
For the past two years, TSX and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) were third in the world for equity capital raised. The international reach of TSX and TSXV, as well as the unique dynamics of the Canadian market, make them effective sources of capital for companies seeking growth financing.
