LBMA Appoints Ruth Crowell Chief Executive Officer

Ruth Crowell will be chief executive officer of the London Bullion Market Association, effective at the end of December.

She replaces Stewart Murray who is retiring, the LBMA said in an e-mailed press release today. Crowell was deputy CEO since June 2012 and worked at the LBMA for seven years. The LBMA represents the wholesale over-the-counter market for gold and silver bullion.
