Scotland Gives Approval for 390 Million Pounds of Clean Power

Scotland gave the go-ahead for a wind farm and a biomass plant that will represent a combined investment of 390 million pounds ($648 million).

The government gave approval for Eneco Wind U.K. Ltd. to build a 20-turbine facility near Inverness that will have a capacity of 66 megawatts, it said today in a statement on its website. It will cost about 65 million pounds and will provide power to as many as 31,000 local homes.
