Centrica Plc, the biggest energy supplier to U.K. homes, said it’s exiting wind energy after deciding to pare back its power-generation activities to focus on its supply business.

Centrica plans to sell 50 percent stakes it owns in four wind farms, which combined with divestments in its exploration and production business may earn it as much as 1 billion pounds, the utility said in a statementBloomberg Terminal Thursday as it announced first-half results.
