Dr. Mohammad Omran, Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) participated in the event organized by the Institute of International Finance (IIF) which subordinates to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to discuss the funds flows of the global and emerging markets on the sidelines of the IMF’ spring meetings held in Washington DC on 19 April 2015.
The discussions focused on the challenges facing the world financial markets and the ways to support them with regard to the current conditions that need to integrate efforts to facilitate the capitals movement and to restore liquidity.
From his part, Omran said that his participation in the meetings aimed primarily to facilitate the process of capital attraction to the emerging markets and to the Egyptian market in particular. Omran stated " As per my occupation of being chairman of the Federation Of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS), and as a board member of the African Stock Exchanges Association (ASEA), I always focus on the challenges faced by the emerging markets and the need to benefit of the markets’ growth in order to achieve the sustainable development.
