Former Kames CEO to chair JPM Japanese trust

Andrew Fleming, former CEO of Kames Capital, will replace the retiring chairman of the JP Morgan Japanese investment trust next month.

The trust has also appointed the former chief executive of Ignis Investment Management Christopher Samuel as a non-executive director. Samuel had been chief executive of Ignis since 2009, but left the group this summer following the takeover by Standard Life Investments, as revealed by Investment Week. He will be appointed non-executive director of the trust at the next annual general meeting on 19 December.
