Schroders 'actively considers' reopening Marriage's long/short fund

Schroders UK small-cap manager Paul Marriage has said the company is considering reopening his Absolute UK Dynamic fund after assets fell to a more manageable level.

The fund was hard-closed by the group last November in order to protect performance, Schroders UK intermediary sales head Robin Stoakley saying the then-£350m product was "at capacity". Assets in the primarily small-cap portfolio have since fallen to £260m, however, and Marriage (pictured) said asset falls across his wider long/short strategy is prompting a rethink.
