TSE’s broad index lost 0.02% in the week ended 1 January.
TEDPIX, TSE’s broad index diminished 14 points and stood at 88177 level at the end of the previous working week. The index’s return exceeded less than 132% from the beginning of the current Iranian year (starting 21 March 2013).
TSE’s First Market and Second Market indices respectively lost 589 and gained 3107 units, to shrink 0.88% and grow 1.92% comparing one week earlier.
During the four working days of the week ended 1 January 2014, the Exchange’s total trading equities and rights turnover contracted 25% and amounted to approximately IRR 17.5 trillion*. In the period, nearly 4 billion shares were traded in 501712 transactions, which respectively decreased 43% and 6.6% than its preceding week.
Total number of 157723 participation bonds at the value of IRR 158 billion was traded at TSE in the week which is roughly 71% less than the prior week.
