Odebrecht, Grana Win Largest Irrigation Contract in Peru

Grana & Montero SA, Peru’s biggest construction company, and Odebrecht SA won a $591 million contract to expand irrigation on the north coast that the government says may boost food exports by as much as one-third.

The Lima-based company and its Brazil counterpart beat five bidders for the rights to build and operate the third and final phase of Chavimochic, the largest irrigation project in Peru, the government’s private investment promotion agency said.
