    Synopsis

Lead for delivery in July traded lower by 45 paise, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 123.40 per kg in business turnover of 262 lots.

NEW DELHI: Lead prices fell by 0.36 per cent to Rs 123.40 per kg in futures trading today as speculators reduced their holdings driven by a weak demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in July traded lower by 45 paise, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 123.40 per kg in business turnover of 262 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in August edged lower by 40 paise or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 124.45 per kg in 10 lots.

Market analysts said a weak trend in spot markets due to sluggish demand amid weakness in base metals at the London Metal Exchange mainly kept pressure on lead futures here.
