Gain Capital names Jason Emerson as new CFO

Gain Capital says Emerson of KCG Holdings will become its CFO; interim CFO Carlough will leave

NEW YORK (AP) -- Investment brokerage Gain Capital said Monday that Jason Emerson of financial services firm KCG Holdings will become its chief financial officer.

Emerson, who will join the company Oct. 1, is the managing director of KCG's global execution services unit.

Gain Capital Holdings Inc. hasn't had a permanent CFO since Henry Lyons resigned in November 2011. Daryl Carlough has been interim CFO since then, and Gain Capital said he will leave the company to pursue other opportunities.

In morning trading, shares of Gain Capital added 17 cents to $10.19. The stock has traded between $3.86 and $10.50 in the past 52 weeks.
