Instituto BME, Bolsas y Mercados Españoles’ (BME) educational centre, will start the sixth edition of its Advanced Investor Relations Course on 8 November, in Madrid.
The Investor Relations discipline is becoming a prime area within organisations because it critically contributes to the correct formation of expectations about the market value of a listed company.
Faced with a stock market in continuous change, companies must deal with dynamic and changing situations and adapt their communication strategies to the demands of their investors or stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with the law. In this framework of Investor Relations initiatives, identifying these is one of the main daily challenges of this function to maximise the efficient use of resources.
The Advanced Investor Relations Course aims to respond to these global concerns, as it has been designed to cover in depth the most relevant aspects of the Investor Relations area within a listed company.
In its 6th edition, the course aims to provide students with a more practical approach, introducing four new workshops, on using Thomson One IR for managing Investor Relations, on how to use social networks and mobile applications in this area, on the Spanish Stock Exchange Electronic Order Book (SIBE) and, finally, on the investors and ESG ratings (Environment, Social, Governance). The four workshops will be conducted by Thomson Reuters, Neo Labels, BME and KPMG respectively. In addition, JP Morgan Asset Management will participate in one of the modules to cover the Investment Funds industry and investor confidence survey carried out every year in several European countries, including ours.
The course, of 84 hours' duration, will be held from November 8, 2013 to May 9, 2014, Friday 9:30 to 14:00 h. at the Stock Exchange Palace building, located in Plaza de la Lealtad, 1, Madrid. Places are limited so they will be allocated in strict order of receipt of applications. Registration is via the website www.institutobme.es
