NZX Agri today launched its expanded Global HQ at Feilding, representing a strategic investment by the company, and supporting a new digital publishing platform and several recent staff hires.
Manawatu District Council Mayor Margaret Kouvelis will officially open the NZX Agri Global HQ at the company’s expanded Feilding office complex at 3pm today. More than 100 representatives from local and national agribusinesses are expected to attend.
Head of NZX Agri Tony Leggett said the rural service township of Feilding was the ideal location for the business’s Global HQ and its team, who include the most awarded agri-sector journalists in the country.
Mr Leggett commented: “Advancing New Zealand is one of NZX’s core values so it’s fitting that our Agri business is headquartered in the heartland of the country.
“Feilding is home to one of the country’s largest turnover sale yard complexes, and surrounded by a diverse range of farming and farm service enterprises.
“In addition, the proximity of Feilding to Massey University, with its array of agricultural research centres and agribusiness, is also a major drawcard,” he said.
NZX Agri’s market leading publications – including Farmers Weekly and The NZ Dairy Exporter – and its data analysis products, are read widely by a global audience.
Today’s opening follows the launch earlier this week of NZX Agri’s news website, FWplus.co.nz, and the announcement of further plans to increase its digital offering.
NZX Agri has a full time staff of 42, including 11 regional based journalists and advertising staff in Dunedin, Christchurch, Tauranga and Auckland.
