Citigroup Hires Barclays’s Kroft as Telecommunications Head

Citigroup Inc., the third-biggest U.S. bank, hired Barclays Plc’s Gordon “Gordie” Kroft for a new position as head of telecommunications investment banking in the Americas.
Kroft, 42, who joins in September, will oversee coverage of wireless-service providers, data center and tower-infrastructure companies, New York-based Citigroup said today in a statement.
